Gond laddu is a traditional Indian sweet delicacy renowned for its rich taste and potential health benefits. It is primarily made from edible gum resin (gond) roasted in generous amounts of desi ghee (clarified butter) mixed with sonth, dry fruits like dry coconut, almonds, cashews, pistachios, melon seeds and aromatic spices such as cardamom. Gond laddu is more than a sweet as it is beneficial to consume them in the winter. They are a rich source of calcium and fibre and are recommended as a postpartum food for new mothers to strengthen their bones.
